1. AnaVista Observation Tower
One of the newest attractions in Gatlinburg TN is the AnaVista Observation Tower, which is the highest point in downtown Gatlinburg and the only tower of its kind in the world! This attraction is located at the popular Anakeesta theme park and is surrounded by Vista Gardens, a lovely botanical garden with walking trails and interactive play areas. To access the top of the tower, simply climb the 78 steps to a large observation platform where you can see as far as Kentucky! The platform also includes interpretive signs that identify mountain ranges and peaks, as well as two glass panel floors where you can look straight down into the garden 60 feet below!
2. Gatlinburg SkyBridge
The Gatlinburg SkyBridge is located at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park and is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America! This jaw dropping bridge literally spans across the sky as it stretches 680 feet across a deep valley and reaches a height of 150 feet at its midpoint. As if that doesn’t sound cool enough, there are glass floor panels in the middle of the span where you can see straight down into the valley! You can walk across the bridge at your own pace to experience the stunning panoramic views. To access the Gatlinburg SkyBridge, take the Gatlinburg SkyLift from downtown Gatlinburg to the top of Crockett Mountain. 3. Gatlinburg Space Needle
When it comes to iconic attractions in Gatlinburg TN, you won’t want to miss a visit to the top of the Gatlinburg Space Needle! This impressive 407 foot tall observation tower overlooks downtown Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains, which is beautiful at any time of year! This breathtaking cable car attraction takes you on a 2.1 mile ride to the amusement park and ski area at Ober Gatlinburg. During your journey on one of the two 120 passenger counter-balanced cars, you will experience a 1,500 foot rise in elevation! The Aerial Tramway was completed in 1973 and has carried millions of people to Ober Gatlinburg, making it one of the most popular and long-running attractions in town!
