3 Ways to Have Fun Outdoors When You Stay At Our Smoky Mountain Cabins

The Smoky Mountain area is known for its stunning natural scenery, and you should definitely find time to enjoy it when you stay with us. Our lodging options are secluded and right in the middle of the wilderness, so it’s easy. Let us tell you how! here is a list of 3 ways to have fun outdoors when you stay at one of our Smoky Mountain cabins:

1. Sit in Front of the Firepit

Some cabins have a firepit outside in addition to the fireplace inside. Using the firepit outside is a great way to enjoy the scenery up close while staying comfortable. There is seating all around which ensures that everyone will have a good spot. If you get hungry, you don’t have to go inside. For your main meal, grab some hot dogs and roast them over the fire. A great dessert afterward is s’mores. Make your marshmallow as crispy as you want and then smush it between two graham crackers and add some chocolate. In between bites, swap stories with your travel group. Talk about the trip and all the memories shared. The short time on your trip will hold some fond memories.

2. Relax on the Deck and Soak in the Hot Tub

Eat your freshly cooked meal out there or get lost in your favorite novel. To keep warm on chilly winter days or cool summer evenings, take a dip in the hot tub. The warm water and the jets work together to provide the ultimate relaxation experience. You will step out feeling refreshed.

3. Enjoy Outdoor Attractions & Activities

While you can always have fun at our Smoky Mountain cabin rentals, you’ll also want to experience the fun attractions that are just a short drive away. Many of them give you the chance to explore the great outdoors, especially Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It has over 850 miles of trails in all types of difficulties. For example, the Gatlinburg Trail is great for beginners while Gregory Bald is ideal for experienced hikers. Just remember that you will need a parking tag for your vehicle if you are parked longer than 15 minutes. When it comes to activities in the city, check out Gatlinburg SkyPark. Take the SkyLift to get there. Go from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg to way up high.  Stand on the 700-foot SkyBridge and lounge on the SkyDeck. You will be able to enjoy stunning views from wherever you are. It is also a great time to take photos since the Smokes make a fantastic backdrop!
