About the Rocky Top Wine Trail
There are 5 wineries along this wine trail spread across Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. One of the best parts of this trail is you don’t have to pay a single thing to do it! You can start at any of the wineries and grab a passport to keep up with which wineries you have visited so far. After you visit three wineries, you will receive a free souvenir wine glass. Then once you have visited all five wineries, you will receive another free gift! You can visit all five wineries in a day, but it’s more fun if you split up your time across a few days.
Wineries You’ll Visit
We want to share a little more information about all of the wineries you visit as you make your way along the Rocky Top Wine Trail. Keep reading to find out more about these wineries.
Hillside Winery
Hillside Winery brings the flavors of Tuscany to the Smoky Mountains! They specialize in Italian wines made from local grape farms. Every year, this winery crushes more than 856,000 pounds of grapes to make the wine. They have outdoor seating where you can enjoy tasting your wine. You can also purchase wine by the glass, and if you find one you really love, you can bring a whole bottle home!
Apple Barn Winery
The Apple Barn Winery is located in the Apple Barn Village, a shopping center with all kinds of neat places you’ll want to explore. Their wines are a little different, though; instead of grapes, they use fresh apples grown in the orchard on the property. You’ll enjoy their tasting bar with beautiful seating, and you can even taste wine outside. If you find a bottle you want to bring home, you can actually have it uncorked if you decide to eat at one of the restaurants on site!
Apple Barn Cider House
Right next door to Apple Barn Winery is the Apple Barn Cider House. The Cider House isn’t another winery; they actually sell hard cider and regular cider made from the apples grown in the orchard on the property. Some of the flavors they offer include South Cider, Berry Patch, Hop Zen, Sip Gingerly, and Cider House Blues.
Mountain Valley Winery
If you love sweet wines, then you need to visit Mountain Valley Winery. They specialize in sweet fruit wines, including flavors such as Rhubarb, Watermelon, and Red Velvet cake. Visit between 12 pm and 5 pm to get a tour of their facility to learn more about how they make their wine.
Mill Bridge Winery
Mill Bridge Winery offers local wine and hard cider selections. They have a quaint outdoor patio that overlooks the Little Pigeon River, and you can even order a wine slushie for a hot summer day!
